Word 035

I walked along the path to Ōmiwa Shrine. Passing through the white torii gate, I was wrapped in cool air carrying the scent of cedar.

Mount Miwa is the sacred body of the deity itself — there is no hall, no structure. The mountain simply is. It has been revered not because it surpasses other mountains, but because it radiates something no other mountain can.

Standing on that path, a quiet thought came to me. Perhaps human radiance works the same way.

Others around you seem to shine so brightly...

And yet, you once carried a great hope within you.

Somewhere along the way, you began comparing yourself to others —
shrinking your hope, and growing your fear.

Do not compare yourself to others.

You have a " brilliance " that belongs to you alone.

Each time we compare ourselves to others, our own light seems to dim a little. But it was never really gone — we simply hadn't noticed it yet. Your brilliance isn't measured by how brightly you shine next to someone else. It has a color that only you can give to this world.
