Word 015
A May morning in Nara, walking along the approach to the shrine.
The only sound was the soft tearing of grass — a deer grazing nearby. I stopped for a moment.
There are mornings when you think, "I want to try that today" — and yet the first step doesn't come.
But thinking back, all those hours spent wondering "Can I do it?" never once moved me forward. What moved me forward — every single time — was the moment I decided: I'll do it.
The question is not "Can I do it, or can't I?"
The question is "Will I do it, or won't I?"
If you try, you can. If you don't, you never will. It's that simple.
One second of movement carries you further than a lifetime of hesitation.
