Word 032

Morning stillness wraps the grounds of Tōshōdai-ji temple.

Walking the moss-lined path toward the mausoleum of Master Jianzhen, I think of a man who crossed the sea six times — battered by storms, losing his sight — yet never stopped giving.

He asked for nothing in return. Only to offer what he had to others. Even now, centuries later, that spirit lingers quietly in this air.

You are me.

I am you.

Your existence heals my heart.

I hope I can be a support for you too.

When the spirit of giving (GIVE) overflows between us, happiness spreads throughout your world.

A small word offered in kindness can build an invisible bridge. And bridges, once built, carry people in both directions. Perhaps giving is not losing something — but opening the world a little wider.
